IPTV and M3U player for Fire TV Stick and Android TV EXTREME Top
EXTREME Top is a media player to watch the M3U playlists you already have on your TV, with a TV guide (EPG). It works with the remote and splits content into live TV, movies and series.
You install it on Fire TV Stick with the Downloader app, and it also works on Android TV, Google TV (such as Sony Bravia TVs) and on Windows and Mac computers. Launch offer: the first year is free.

Choose your device and follow the steps.
Fire TV Stick and Android TV
Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and TVs with Android TV or Google TV.
- On the Fire TV go to Find › Search, type Downloader and install the free Downloader app.
- Open Settings › My Fire TV › Developer options › Install unknown apps and turn on Downloader. If you do not see Developer options, go to My Fire TV › About and press the Fire TV name 7 times.
- Open Downloader and type the code 9753387 in the address box, then press Go.
- When the download ends press Install and then Done. If Downloader asks to delete the file you can press Delete: the app stays installed.
- Open EXTREME Top from Your apps & channels. At the first start you see the MAC you need for activation and to upload your playlist.
On Android TV and Google TV install Downloader from the Play Store, allow Downloader to install apps when asked, then follow the steps from 3 on.
Sony Bravia (Google TV / Android TV)
Sony Bravia TVs with Google TV or Android TV.
- On the TV open Google Play Store, search for Downloader (by AFTVnews) and install it.
- Allow Downloader to install apps. If needed, first unlock developer options: Settings › System › About and press Build 7 times (on Android TV: Settings › Device Preferences › About). Then:
Google TV: Settings › Privacy › Security & restrictions › Unknown apps and turn on Downloader.
Android TV: Settings › Apps › Security & restrictions › Unknown sources and turn on Downloader. - Open Downloader, type the code 9753387 and press OK.
- When the download ends press Install.
- Press Open. At the first start you see the MAC you need for activation and to upload your playlist.
Menu names can vary slightly depending on the TV model and year.
Windows
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit.
- Press Download for Windows and open the downloaded file (ExtremeTop-2.1.22-setup.exe).
- If you see “Windows protected your PC”, press More info and then Run anyway.
- Follow the setup: Next, Install and Finish.
- Open EXTREME Top from the Start menu or the desktop icon. At the first start you see the device code to use for activation.
The version without installation is an archive: extract the folder and open ExtremeTop.exe.
Mac
Macs with Apple chips (M1 and later) and Macs with Intel processors, running macOS 12 Monterey or later.
- Press Download for Mac and open the downloaded file (ExtremeTop-2.1.22-macos.dmg).
- In the window that opens, drag EXTREME Top into the Applications folder.
- The first time, open the Applications folder, right-click (or Control-click) EXTREME Top, choose Open and confirm with Open.
- If the Mac does not open it, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and press Open Anyway. On macOS 15 and later this step is always needed.
- From then on EXTREME Top opens normally with a double-click.
On a computer you use mouse and keyboard: arrows to move, Enter to open, Esc to go back, F for full screen.
Linux (64-bit): download the archive, extract it and open extremetop. The mpv program must be installed on the system.

Open the app and note the MAC. Then go to Upload playlist, enter the MAC and add your M3U list, with the TV guide if you have one.

Where do I download EXTREME Top?

What is the Downloader code 9753387?
It is the short code that starts the EXTREME Top download in the Downloader app, so you do not have to type a long address with the remote. It works on Fire TV Stick, Android TV and Google TV.
Does EXTREME Top work on Sony Bravia TVs with Google TV or Android TV?
Yes. Install Downloader from the TV's Google Play Store, allow Downloader to install apps and enter the code 9753387. The steps are in the Sony card.
Windows or my Mac says the app may not be safe. Is that normal?
Yes. It happens because the app is new and does not have a Microsoft or Apple digital signature yet. Download it only from this website and follow the steps in the Download and install section.
Does the app update by itself on a computer?
On the TV, yes. On a computer, for now, new versions are downloaded from this page: install the new version over the old one and your settings stay.
Does the app include channels?
No. EXTREME Top is only a player. You use your own M3U playlist, which you can add on the Upload playlist page.
How much does EXTREME Top cost?
As a launch offer the first year is free for everyone: download the app and use it for 12 months from the first start, no card and no commitment. The offer covers the app only: playlists and content are not included.
What happens after the first year?
If you want to keep using it you can activate a licence on the Activation page. There is no automatic renewal and we do not ask for a card for the free year.
Where are the MAC and device code?
Open EXTREME Top on the TV. The MAC is shown at start. Both are also in the Info screen.
What if my list does not work?
The app shows a message on the TV. You can delete the list and upload another one at any time.
Does the free year work on several devices?
Yes. Each TV or computer where you install EXTREME Top gets its own free year, starting from the first start on that device.
What is an IPTV or M3U player?
It is an app that plays a playlist, which is a list of audio and video addresses in M3U or M3U8 format. EXTREME Top is only the player: it includes no channels or content. Only use playlists you have the right to watch.
How do I add an M3U playlist to my TV?
Open EXTREME Top on the TV and note the MAC address: it is shown at start and in the Info screen. Then go to the Upload playlist page and enter the MAC with your playlist address: press Aggiorna (Refresh) on the TV and the list appears.
Does EXTREME Top have a TV guide (EPG)?
Yes. If you add the address of an XMLTV TV guide, EXTREME Top shows what is on now and next. You can add it together with the playlist on the Upload playlist page.
